Artists agency Buro van Otterloo B.V., often called Buro van Otterloo, has a refreshing, intelligent and creative view on music, acts and entertainment for your (international) business event, staff party, anniversary party or other gathering or special occasion. The Van Otterloo team is your partner in entertainment, because it responds immediately to the theme and purpose of your event and is specialized in developing tailor-made productions. Sometimes it only takes a little ‘twist’ to make it complete and doesn’t cost you anything extra. If you have a small budget, we can also think along to find appropriate, stylish and professional entertainment. It is often a matter of smart, efficient and effective use of artists and technology.

The close team of Van Otterloo is formed by: Katelijne van Otterloo, Helena Gitzels, Annemijn van Andel and Bas van Otterloo.

The team does what they do best: together ensure that entertainment, acts, music and total concepts of Buro van Otterloo are used appropriately, originally, creatively, efficiently and above all successfully and that preparation and execution run flawlessly, so you can unburden.

How does our team work?

The big difference in approach is the preparation. First ask for the background and the purpose of the event and then make a suitable quotation / total concept tailored to your needs. This way we prevent fragmented deployed entertainment. Everything has to fit together, form one whole with the target group, location, catering, decoration and, not least, the purpose or theme of the event, where as much technology as possible can be combined.

Music and entertainment organized by Van Otterloo has never been made overnight, there is always a lot of thought. Our goal is always to be of added value for the customer.

Of course it is also possible to ‘just’ book an artist, band or act without having to go into a special thought or philosophy. But background information is something that is very important for Artists agency van Otterloo because our goal is to program the right artists at the right event!

“As creative director I am responsible for the total picture, a sort of architect of this artistic and also business agency. The motivating challenge for me is to combine my experience in music and television business with my academic training in Architectural Engineering. I combine the best of both worlds within my own company, where I ‘build’ with people’s talents. I create new shows in collaboration with others, deal with applications that require customization, write total concepts in various themes, I am a talent scouter, maintain the websites and social media and I have the marketing management as a task (although there’s not much time left for that!). I am very grateful, happy and proud of the people around me in the office, at home (my great husband Bas, my son and daughter) and in my personal social and business network, who provide me with advice, feedback and assistance. I also feel it’s my job to teach interns really some event- and entertainment related skills and show them that being able to make the difference is a lot of fun. But I would never be able to do this without the energy that my performances give me as a pop-jazz singer. I love to sing at all the beautiful events and concert stages! Bas van Otterloo (eldest son Rogier van Otterloo, a famous conductor, arranger and composor, Metropole Orkest) is, besides a senior advisor of the famous Metropole Orkest, also bassplayer, composer, arranger, studio technician and the husband of Katelijne van Otterloo. He provides the customized work for Buro van Otterloo with music and arrangements. But he is also responsible for the special products, keeps Katelijne informed about new, up-and-coming talent and is her unconditional partner and supporter!

Helena Gitzels (office manager met duizend poten!)

Helena Gitzels (office manager, multi tasker!)
Helena is the indispensable force that creates order and structure within this creative and sometimes hectic environment. She bundles all of her qualities, experience and enthusiasm and ensures the smooth running of various productions and ensures that the administration is completely in order. After completing the HAVO, she did the secretary training Schoevers for 1 year, then 1 year ASR, International hostess training and Nima A and Marketing at the VU in Amsterdam. She worked as a production assistant at Joop van den Ende productions, as a secretary at a law firm, did the PR at the VEN Versmarkt (freshmarket) and worked as a hostess at parties and at Airport Schiphol and later at the office in the organization. Later she started her own company, owning an interior store that she ran for 7 years and was responsible for purchasing, sales, marketing and financial affairs.
