Gipsy Jazz Duo Pierre & Sipps
Gipsy Jazz Duo Pierre & Sipps is a young, very talented gipsy swing duo that plays fun French and American gypsy jazz. When you hear Pierre & Sipps play, you are taken into jazz trends: French traditional jazz with chansons and gypsy influences and the world of American traditional jazz. A well-known French guitarist who became known for mixing these styles is Django Reinhardt, who inspired this French Gipsy jazz duo.
Pierre – with French as his mother tongue – knows how to deliver the French lyrics in a very credible and honest way and together with Sipps they add their virtuoso guitar playing.
With the background of studying ‘jazz guitar’ at the conservatory, they have delved deep into the roots of jazz and they perform this with verve in their performances. Rhythms such as swing, waltz, bossa and rumba will make the wine and beers taste better…
Gispy jazz à la Hotclub de France
When you think of Hot Club de France, you immediately think of the sultry nightclub from the thirties. Violinist Stéphane Grappelli and guitarist Django Reinhardt presented a mixture of American swing and gipsy music. Pierre and Sipps, very inspired by this guitarist, bring the lively, energetic music of the past back to life.
This exclusive Gipsy jazz duo provides pleasant, swinging (background) music that is not intrusive. The gentlemen musicians Pierre and Sipps provide a French atmosphere of yesteryear. Relaxed, cheerful, pleasant. Music is really being made, and you feel it.
Gipsy jazz duo Sipps plays semi-acoustic and is therefore the perfect live music during reception, drinks, dinner, reception where people can still hear each other. But this gipsy swing duo can of course also be used for a mini-concert.
