Jazz trio Gideon
The young, talented jazz trio / quartet of Gideon is saxophone (Gideon), double bass and drums. This trio mainly plays jazz music from the 50s and 60s. This line-up creates a lot of interaction between the musicians and a lot of freedom in the improvisations without being a ‘squeaky’ orchestra. They play very well, delicious, well-received jazz!
Despite the young age of the musicians, they have already played at the North Sea Jazz Festival several times. They play also more and more on the larger stages.
Gideon, the leader of the band, has a fantastic warm tone and sound in his tenor saxophone, just as you would like to hear a saxophone … sweet-voiced and perfectly timed!
The Jazz Trio by Gideon also plays regular with guest musicians such as Simon Rigter and Anna Serierse.
The trio is inspired by the Sonny Rollins trio and the music of John Coltrane.
This very talented jazz trio can play completely acoustic without amplification!
